Well I’m about to get what I need together and about to start fishing regularly again. I am looking for a set of 8 poles to get me started again that someone isn’t using or doesn’t want an arm and a leg for.
Any help or leads are appreciated.

I think smoke may have been trying to help as opposed to being a smarty britches. Took me a very long while to get where I am and I'm very low on the totem pole for most around here. Ain't got much at all, but earned every bit of it. Got to crawl before you walk, for those that have walked before it's even more difficult. I keep an eye out for ya, you looking for rigging poles or pulling or a good in between?

When I got back into crappie fishing I bought cheap rods and they caught fish, I bought a Helix 7 and it found fish and I made home made pole holders and they held the poles. I moved up to better rods,Helix 9 and spyder loc pole holders and they caught fish. I do wish I had saved the money on the cheap ones and bought better to start with.
Buying used is a good way to buy better equipment cheaper. I bought a lot of used equipment from people on this site that were upgrading.

I've found deals on craigslist, 16 ft rods for $10 each with mickey mouse reels. Bought them all and she gave me 6 that needed repairs. They were missing tops, I've got tons of tops.
Keep an eye on the classifieds. Wish I had all the money back I’ve spent on fishing gear. Could buy a new ranger rigged out. Better to spend more once and get what you want than buy cheap and upgrade down the road. As smoke said, the pst is a good option for spider rigging and pulling. I like my denalis for rigging and pulling, but they’re not real cost friendly if you’re on a budget. Hi tek rod holders are pretty budget friendly, but I like my spyderloks. Just got in my new set of Capps and Coleman single rod holders which work AWESOME.
