The last few times I've been it's been similar conditions to now. They were definitely preferring black and white tipped with a minner. Had been catching them 12-14 feet deep in 16 FOW (they were right off the bottom) up to 20 foot. Fishing ledges in the mid-lake that were well off the channel, and one little honey hole of a steep ledge that, really, always produces, was what saved my trips. That particular ledge is very close to spawning grounds. Like, less than a boat length close.

Me personally, in stabilizing weather during the pre-spawnz and ESPECIALLY at the Rez, if I can fish ledges that are at the right depth and that are CLOSE to possible spawning grounds...well...then I at least FEEL like I'm gonna catch a fish. That helps when you come home with a miserable to non existent box of fish and a yard that needs weed-eating!

Well I'm just now seeing that, per usual, I'm always a day late and a dollar short. Hope it went well!
