    Default Enid 2/3/2024

The 33rd Annual Enid Lake Fish Habitat Day will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Each year, Corps personnel and volunteers take advantage of low water levels to replenish fish habitat in the lake bottom.
Volunteers will meet at the Enid Lake Field Office at 0800 hours for instructions. This year, fish habitat will be constructed and placed in the Lovejoy Creek area on the northern side of Enid Lake. Volunteers are asked to wear weather appropriate clothing and gloves. ATV/UTV use is allowed but operators must wear a DOT approved helmet.
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers at the Enid Lake maintenance shop after the event. For more information, please contact the Enid Lake Field Office at 662-563-4571.

I plan to be there, hope to see you.

Thought they did Lovejoy last year. Maybe it was Rowsey, I often confuse the two.

I've looked at a few maps, can't find Lovejoy.
I'll most likely work with some guys on the south side. One lives near Longbranch.
After this snow melts it will warm up enough to cut bamboo to go along with the stack of Christmas trees I have.

Lovejoy is on the north side almost straight across from Water Valley landing. Rowsey is the next one up the lake before Bynum. Bean is where they did most of the work last year. Long Branch is in need of some. I usually do some around and past Mooney.

We worked the Longbranch about 7 years ago.
Worked Bynum ramp area about 6 years ago. I stopped on the way in and took a photo of a tree growing through a steel wagon wheel.
Next year I went to an auction in Jan., lot of dusty boxes from China, came home sick as a dog for over 3 weeks and missed habitat day. Pandemic started that year, health issues last couple of years and haven't been to any since.

I didn't see or talk with anyone with C.C ID on them. There were 6 of us from a face book group that worked together in Dew creek. At Cossar park I stopped at site #25 and had a good look at Jones creek. Didn't see any habitat. Ages ago there was a willow in the center, we fished around it on one camping trip and did pretty good. There wasn't as many of us as in years past, didn't fill up all the seats in the main garage set up with tables. Lunch was good.
