Now, I know I have listed a large area to cover, but I am checking to see if anybody has found one thing that will do. I have used the president phleuger reel, but line twist on a spinning reel gives me trouble no matter what. I like them and still use them, but line twist is just a pain.
Mr Gene also makes awesome rod transfer racks

    Default Crappie Reels

Rod transfer racks kept your long rods stay secured and organized going 70 down the interstate and at the ramp and sitting in your chair while grabbing your rods and putting them in or out of your spider lok rod holders. If interested. These guys on here can get you in touch with Mr GeneName: IMG_4940.jpg

Bait caster reels on all mine. Also I spool them with color coded line so when pulling cranks I know how much line I have out. Power pro braided line.

I like the president reels you mentioned. Line twist and line memory has a lot to do with the quality of line you are using and how long it's sat stationary. Spinning reals are very popular for spider rigging. In most cases the reels only purpose is to hold the line but having a quality reel like the president has a lot of positives. The drag system, smoothness of the reel, and the overall life of the reel are a few that have me sold on them. In my opinion i would rather have my eyes on the pole down than I had up. I know jigging you can feel the bite better with the eyes down and that's the way I have fished my whole life. The rods sensitivity is one of the most important things crappie fishing. You have to see that bite. There are so many different opinions on this I hesitated to even respond, but as I stated it's only my opinion. Good luck and have fun

Griss, I like them better than the ones I have now. Start collecting material to build me a pair.

6900 series. Arbor style will also help you with twist, and shootin docks, as it's a larger spool, and come with an extra spool. but I haven't found twist to ever be an issue.
On sale at BPS this month, 1/2 price.
