    Default Flint Creek Reservoir

I know that most of the members on here are mostly from the northern part of the state but was just wondering if anyone on here has ever fished Flint Creek Reservoir in Wiggins Ms.

glad to know im not the only one down here on this sight. i use to fish a local bass circuit and we went to flint every year. ive had some glory days on bass there. and there were always 3 or 4 boats crappie fishing and doing well. i think it produces its best in fall and winter. to much recreation going on down there now.

Yeah it's good to know there is someone else down this way. I went the other day to flint and didn't do so good. Maybe this fall and winter it will be better.

I used to fish Flint Creek a lot since the seventies. I used to do well along the creek channels for crappie but it has slowed down (at least for me) the last few years. I did catch some nice fish there (one around 2 lbs) pulling cranks around the dam but fishing there in the summer is hard because of the skiiers. Bass fishing is still good there but back in the seventies there were a LOT of fish in the 10 lb range pulled out of there (I have witnessed several) but I don't see those anymore. I don't fish there much anymore because their camping rates have gone sky high. I now camp at Lake Okatibbee where I catch tons of crappie & a lot bigger.
Thanks dad for teaching me to love crappie fishing!!
