Do you prefer large minnows, or the smaller ones the bait shop sells..in spring or fall

Don't like em tiny but don't like em huge either. The one s they sell at the bait shop do the trick, when I use minnows

I always take minners with me, Grenada minners, and buy some there and mix it up. I hear people all the time say they don't like the bigger minners down there but haven't found to be the case.

Presentation, presentation, presentation.......big-small, right speed they'll all work. My preference??...."not too hot and not too cold, just right".

The CM Championship was won there a few years back with jigs and crappie nibbles. Size Matters. We caught tons of 1-1.25lb fish with minners of all sizes. We just never caught many big ones there. We Did Not Figure It Out, but as always, someone did. PMA!!!!!

From my experience on Washington, the "medium" size was always the best. This past spring it seemed like I had an assortment of sizes in the engel cooler, but the fish really hammered the ones that were about 1.5" +/- long. The bigger minnows or grenada size has never worked for me.
Using a 3/16 jig, a 2" - 2.5" tube and a medium minner seemed just about right. The fish said so too...

I like the small ones in the spring. Don't fish it a whole bunch in the fall...
