Old news but here's the details. Posted Memphis Business Journal, 2010:
The owners of Kalb Equipment Co., operating as Ensley Bottoms Farm LLC, purchased 9,800 acres in south Shelby County and north DeSoto County for $8.4 million.
They purchased the land from Belz Investco GP, an entity of Belz Enterprises Inc.
Rob Kalb, co-owner of the Memphis-based farm equipment dealership, would not comment. Calls to Belz Enterprises were not returned.
Local real estate sources say they plan to use the property for hunting, fishing and farming.
The land has more than 1,000 acres of lakes and 4,500 acres of farmland; the remainder is timberland.
It also has several miles of Mississippi River frontage.
