A friend sent me a picture of his buddy holding a snakehead he shot last night They were bowfishing at lake Whittington. He has contacted G & F and they are suppose to come in today to investigate. That is all I know.

Spot on MO!!!! That would be awesome!!!! They could take over the carp..... then we could eradicate the snakeheads much more easily because they arent as prolific spawners. You may be onto something! I am kinda joking because I don't necessarily agree with messing with mother nature. But in the same sentence somebody messed with mother nature by bring the carp in!

Between carp and gar, what difference is one more ugly fish? There are already few times a year when I fish the oxbows dues to these undesirable fish. Sad, cause they used to have some great fishing at these lakes year round. Now I can catch it good about 3 times a year IF water gets right on the weekend

A buddy of mine caught one a couple weeks ago running some lines below the dam at Butla.
