    Default Shrimp, Oysters and Crawfish

I'm wanting to make a run to the coast to pick up some shrimp straight off the boat, some oysters and then pick up some crawfish on the way back. My question is for those who do this sort of thing. I hear you can get em a lot cheaper doing it like that than going to the supermarket and getting them. So where do I start, do I need connections at the dock or can I just go pick em up. Where do I need to go?
Thanks jigflinger thanked you for this post

I have a contact name and number I will send you, this guy will start making weekly runs up north here before long, but you pay a good bit more for delivery. His family runs a few boats on the MS gulf coast from what I understand. May wanna post this in the Louisiana Forum as well, may find a better contact.

I would appreciate that. Trying to cut out the middle man prices, so I don't mind making the trip. I posted over there right after I posted here

O man this sounds good!! I'm taking a planning a trip to Louisiana next year just to sinfully devour fresh seafoods. Don't care nothing about bourbon street or none of that just point me towards the best eateries. And a good fishing hole between meals.

Bourbon is a must, La Bayou is one great eatery! Acme is also another good place that's right on Bourbon. The food down there is amazing!

Stick to Louisiana for the pickup, and probably for the prepared food too...

We'll be staying on a Bama beach for a week soon. I googled local seafood, found 2 places within walking distance, they are for retail raw and cooked sales. The marina is 8 miles away, hope to get better prices there.

I have went to the marina behind the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi before and got shrimp there.
