    Default Grenada advice

Making my first trip to grenada this year. Not asking for any GPS coordinates or anything but would like a starting point. I will be single pole fishing with my wife. Probably going to put in at south graceport. How's the water level? Anyone having any luck with minnows? I doubt they are still spawning or are they? Thanks in advance.

Can't be much help on Nader, but if it's like most of the other big four, spawn is at a trickle toward the end. Folks still catching some females with eggs, but they are smaller fish...10-13". If I went, I'd try to find some 4-8 fow with some structure around it for single polin. They may still be around some buck brush, etc. Just go and have a good time with your bride...catchin a good mess will be an 'extra'. At least you'll be in good company.

Look for some shallows near the river channel with structure to jig. I'd look for the same depth jd1 suggested.

Are there any numbers of keeper fish still shallow? Is the water in the trees on the west side of graysport crossing road where old highway 8 meets it?

I live at Grenada and have fished 3 days this week . I have caught fish every day. Some still have eggs. I have caught fish in fron 4 to 10 ft of water. Lots of people here are catching lots of fish . Water is in the trees west of Graysport. I caught some fish there Sunday

What BRM said. I'm not very good compared to some of these guys, but for single polin first thing I'd look for is new water in 4-6 foot range, then some structure in that newer water. But I wouldn't stay in one place too long just because it "looks" fishy. Try it, then move on till you find them. They eat every day......
