Nice ones
After scratching yesterday, I talked DA Wifey into taking the afternoon off and we headed back to Lincoln. Found em 8 feet down in 11 FOW... Bite was slow but steady... Lots of smalls, but we had enough good ones to make a nice mess. Kept 18, mixed males and females.... Quit at dark, and probably could have caught quite a few more if we had stayed later...
Nice ones
And with that, I'll see you on the water...

I've never fished Lincoln, looks like you put it on 'em! I heard Simpson County lake has had a good bit too.

I fish, therefore I am!
Good anywhere.
It is obvious that the locals, or folks who fish the lake more often, know about the spot I was camped on. They kept showing up, and would ease off then come back to see if I was still there... Like any other lake, it takes time to figure it out. I just kept trying till they decided to show up and bite. Wish I could get in the gate at about 4 AM, cause the bite in the morning ends quickly at daylight... Strongly suspect I could do well if I was fishing for a couple of hours before the sun comes up...
I have scoured that lake with the Helix and found some really interesting areas. They say they have Hybrid Stripers in there, but I haven't seen any yet. See big cats and lots of shad. Going to keep fishing it to see if I can make the magic happen on a more regular basis!
Wow! Nice crappie.
Be safe and good luck fishing
