Default Seriously in need of a weekday fishing partner (Jackson area)

I can't tell you how many days I have sat at home, because the only other retired guy I know in this area lets his girlfriend dictate when he can go fishing... And, I promise you, that's not often!
Been waiting all week to get out on Ross B, and tomorrow seems to be about as good as the wind is gonna get. Yesterday, we were all good for tomorrow. Now, he tells me he misunderstood, and thought I said Friday. And, he has something he has to do... ARRRG!
So, if anyone wants to meet me at Tommy's in the morning, and go check out things, give me a shout at 601-940-8376. I can't promise we will load the boat up with slabs, but I guarantee it is better than sitting in the living room watching the news people talk about politics...

I'll be out there tomorrow morning as well. Planning on being at Tommy's just around daylight. Black Tahoe pulling a Tracker. Give me a shout if you see me.

Apparently I went to bed too early last night. Would have been happy to have some company this morning, but stayed at home cause I will not go by myself.

I'm retired and could fish with you, cept that whole live in STL thingy! My buddies who ARE retired are boring and play golf or do nothing productive, so I feel your pain. Leave the lakes to the Worker bees during weekends. That is why I bought a fishing pontoon for Lake STL here so I can go by myself by just strolling down to the dock.

Good luck in finding someone you can depend on and YES watching the talking heads attacking everything All negative all the time, is not worth watching.

Some folks may not mind fishing alone, or even enjoy it. But, for safety reasons, and also when launching or putting the boat back on the trailer, a buddy is nice to have. My wife loves to go with me on weekends, so I'm ok then. Just have to keep looking to find someone who can go during the week.

I Feel your pain! My fishing partner passed almost 3 yrs ago, I don't think I've been out more than 7 times since then! I was looking SOOO forward to retirement so I could go during the week, maybe this year my other buddy will be well enough to go more often!
