    Default Wolf lake question

I have fished wolf lake a few times and believe that the lake is affected by either the Mississippi or Yazoo river or both. Does anyone know at what the stage on either or both rivers causes water to rise on the lake?

Don't believe either river affects Wolf. I don't think the MS River is even close.

The Yazoo River still runs into Wolf, only being very high.

I know for sure one of them does because I've been there when it's muddy and high you can't fish

It's been so long since I fished there I've about forgotten. Haven't forgotten the gar and carp tho. Used to be my favorite lake of all lakes. Hard to catch a big one, but a lot of good ones.
Seems like I remember it can be affected by the Yazoo and also Lake George, which can get backed up from the Yazoo on the south end. Can't remember the level at which time it gets water fronm either end, but it does. That's how those carp got in there.

I know the crappie go shallow there really early. Thinking because of warm winter it might be a good place to go next weekend if river not in it. Thanks for the answers
