    Default Crankbaits

Do you guys leave your cranks on your rods when you finish fishing or put them back in the box? Leaving them on the rods seems like a big tangle job but with my author hands it takes me a while to get them on and rods out when I start and to take them off when I finish. I have only been once so I still have a LOT to learn.

I take mine off, since I accidentally buried a treble hook in my hand the first time I went cranking, and spent 7 hours waiting in the Emergency Room at Baptist Desoto - a little time spent on the water boxing them up beats that by a mile! LESSONS LEARNED for me!!!!

I thought that was a accident waiting to happen with all those hooks laying around. I can't use rod rod rack because when I carry my 83 old neighbor he has to get in and out on the side before I launch. I took mine off the one time I went, but I wanted to hear what you guys that have done it a lot have learned. I picked up some larger snaps yesterday so maybe that will help when I spool up my new line counter reels.

Another thing is that I rarely start the day with the same baits I finish the day so they have to be taken off anyway, why not take em off and eleninate the threat.

If I'm gonna change them out between trips I do it in the garage.Without a transport rack taking them off might be better or buying some of those velcro thingies that cover the crankbait if you leave them onCrankbaits
