    Default new minn kota ultrex

it looks like minn kota has created a cable steer motor with digital capabilities. i been hesitant to do away with my cable steer cause i hate to give up the control when jigging in heavy cover. from what i can see this new motor does both. it was just released at i-cast recently so i don't know if its available yet, minn kota's factory online store doesn't list it yet but im looking forward to putting my hands on one.

I wonder if it will be quieter than my Terrova. Need earplugs for these things. The only thing I don't like about them!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess y'all gonna laugh at me but this is what I've been saying I need for years and wondered why minnkota didn't make it.. Guess I'll be a sucker.. I'm buying one. For my home lake, Barnett, it's the ticket. No more swapping from cable steer to terrova and dealing with being on the lake wishing I had the other one on for me no more !! Just gotta start saving cause I hear they gonna be outrageous.

I wonder if they will self deploy like the Ulterra, my buddy was able to talk his wife into letting him get an Ulterra so she wouldn't have to back the boat down the ramp anymore. He launches the boat and uses the remote to deploy the Ulterra and then steer it away from the ramp and then he hits the spot lock while he goes and parks the truck and then he comes back and brings the boat up to the bank and they climb in.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

there will come a time when your buddies swimming abilities will be tested.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can generally count on Paul's vote.
