Thinking about heading down there in the morning. Any reports besides its hot. Fished butla yesterday had to turn on the bilge pump from all of my sweat. Wanting to run some cranks just wondering if it would be a waste of time.

Never a waste of time, I haven't been on Nader in 2 weeks but willing to bet you can hit one of the humps at the break of dawn and catch some fish and when they slow down get on the ledges and find them, that's my plan for Sunday morning.

    John,

Did they start pulling water Monday?

We slipped down last Sunday morning only had a short time to fish because we had to be out of cabin at Cosar by 11:00am. We power trolled in 12 FOW and caught some nice fish. Hit 3 really nice fish in a row one 15.5" and other 2 just over 16" right when we had to leave. The last fish that I caught I just put rod in the rod locker preparing to leave. It sure was hard to leave but we had two women waiting at the cabin that were not going to be happy with us if we were late! Lol!

I was marking lots of fish and shad, bite had just picked up when we had to leave. I was surprised at how stained the water was. It should clear up some when they start pulling water. Cranking should really pick up.

We are going tomorrow, plan to start off power trolling and switch to cranks if trolling is slow or the sun burns the hats off of our heads which ever happens first! Haha!
