    Default Anybody tried the Dub-L-Seat?

I am getting ready to add a double seat for the front of my boat and was wondering if anybody has tried the Dub-L-Seat advertised in the classifieds? Looks like a quality unit. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Starting to spend money getting ready for next year!!!

I sell a double seat frame that is the bomb. I use one myself all the time. Can send pics if interested. I've sold a bunch of them to C.C members. They are very strong and stable.

From what I've seen the Dub-L Seat is one of the better ones out there.
I've got (HAD) an Add-A-Seat with the round aluminum bases and nylon seat post inserts now. At Grenada during the 2011 Big Mama tournament I spun around to get something behind me and the nylon insert deformed allowing the seat post to come out. Needless to say I almost got hurt. If it hadn't been for the cooler positioned where it was in the bottom of the boat and my partners (donnie@crappielogic) shoulder, I would have been stuffed upside down in the bottom of the boat, in the water or worse. He probably still has grab marks on his shoulder 'cause I was sure grabbing for anything I could get a hold of.

I saw BRM's double seat rig Saturday and it is a very strong well made device........I don't think you will be able to beat his price anywhere.....just give him a shout and he will fix you up.

Sorry about the price guys, but the price of aluminum, stainless steel and the fact that every unit is custom made according to what the customer needs, adds up to very little profit and a bunch of work. I'm trying to improve the unit all the time with new designs and ideas. Right now I'm not offering the paint option because of problems keeping paint on the aluminum. I've seen other good double seat products out there, mine is just something I do in my spare time for the guys that need custom built rigs. Prebuilt rigs are the way to go if they work out for you, I'm presently looking at a 3 week delivery time due to the huge amount of orders. Presently I'm adding a net holder and a center rod transport holder that will all work with the unit.

Here are some spur of the moment pics. Sorry they aren't very good!!!
FYI, you can take the pedestal out of the center, and move the entire frame left, right, and forward or Back to adjust for weight and height difference in the two fishermen, or you can leave the frame out if yer by yourself, or just move it to the rear deck. You can use it on the front deck or the rear deck as well, like when you're pullin cranks or LLing. I use mine to cook out, dove hunt, at deer camp, in the bed of my ATV, I also use one for office furniture at the shop for a display. They are the most versatile thing I've found, and they are Strong, and Stable. I weigh 340, and they are 4x better than just a pedestal. You don't rock around in the wind with it like you do on a single pedestal.
