Me too could you guys tell me where your stake beds are... without giving up your honey holes. In return I will tell you where my ex-buddy John's stake beds are. Just funn'in Jim... I am sure someone will help ya out.
I just fished Grenada for the first time last week and I love it.
But I was wondering (without giving up honey holes). Where are the stake beds that people fish in the springtime? And what ramp or ramps would someone use during that time of year. I put in at Choctaw last week.

Ain't no crappie in Grenada in the spring. That's why the parking lots are always empty
Ha ha. I have all the spots in Barnett. Just would rather travel 2 hours instead of 15 mins. Lol
The corp upgrades stake beds on a regular basis. Last year they added a whole lot at Bryant landing. Perry creek, Piney woods, and Redgrass all have a lot of beds. Most are visible at around 204 but not certain on the level. Also a lot east of graysport and scattered at random around the lake. You won't have a problem seeing them if the water is down. Be careful if wading. Know where the creeks are.

Thanks boatbottom. I have only been there once last week. Always heard about catching them shallow there but didn't know where. Thanks for the info.
In the spring if water allows, try out from Young's Landing off of Gore Springs Rd. on the east end of the lake on Yalabusha River. Stumps stumps stumps= crappie.
Good Luck...

As close as you are to Grenada it would be well worth your time to come up and ride out on the lake and scout with binoculars looking for stake beds and such, at 200 you can cruise a lot of the lake and scout. A 4 wheeler is another good way when the water is even lower. Found some stuff today in 20 foot of water that I marked, when wind permits it will produce fesh, no doubt in my mind and its in a place that even at the lakes lowest it will still be in 10 foot of water. No substitute for time on any lake.
