Went to East Moon in white river refuge. Quite a mystery. They posted Thursday that the road was just opened. Got there yesterday and the roads were dry but area around the ramp showed lots of traffic and dried ruts. 1 other truck there. Water low and stained. Fished from across from the ramp to the back of lower Parrish and still looking for the first crappie. Too late.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

Not not California, Indianola, Mississippi. Container? Depends on where you live. They try to stay within 100 miles, i.e., drive time 2 hours. Trucks are refrigerated tho..

I went to the cut off last week on a Friday ,not another boat in the place ,really strange . After 4 hours of fishing I see why no one else was there .Sad times , we have had some good times there in years past. I wonder why the Game and Fish commissions aren't trying to pool resources and get rid of the carp. I understand it is a monumental task but no effort is not the answer.

Illinois' answer to the carp problem is trying to convince everyone here to eat them. Some folks say the taste good. I haven't had any that I really like. You can't run a boat on the Illinois river or any of the back waters without getting hit by them anymore. Sad.

There's a YouTube video from LSU on how to clean them. I blowfish them but they stick way too bad to try to eat
