By the way cranks would rule the day behind planer boards, second was 2-poling, 3rd and big fish was straight pulling cranks.
What a day with 11 teams qualified and 10 teams came to the lake this morning to try their hand at one of the toughest lakes in the country but one of the best, if not the best, inch for inch, man these fish are THICK!!!!
Registration was at Tadpoles this morning as was the weigh-in, Mr. Franks and his wife were very gracious host and added 300 bucks to the pot for us, know where we will buy bait when we are in the area from now on!!! A big thanks goes out to Tadpoles for being so gracious and hope to see them again real soon.
The bite was tuff as it has been most of the year pretty much at all the Big Four but she would yield a few fish this day. "Purdictions" earlier in the week would be off by a little bit only purdicting 2 teams to weigh-in a 7 fish limit, 4 teams would come to the scales with 7 fish and NICE fish they were!!!!
Goodtime and Rees would take an early lead tipping the scales at 12.71 with 7 fish. They would weigh a big fish that would hold up throughout the weigh-in coming in at 2.72!!!
Big Blue and BRM would quickly take the lead weighing in an outstanding 7 fish limit at 14.67 pounds to take the lead!! Weighed a big fish that fell short at 2.55.
Next to the scales with a 7 fish limit was Terry Medley and Shady, a team that has been strong all year, weighing-in 14.10 moving them into second pushing Goodtime and Rees to 3rd. Terry and Brady would also weigh-in a big fish at 2.42.
The last team with a 7 fish limit to come to the scales was Michael Higginbotham and Nick Price, they have been very strong all year with Nick coming in 4th in the over-all points and Michael being the 2015 Points Leader. Nick and Michael's fish would tip the scales at 12.51 falling just short of being in the money. They also weighed a big fish at 2.17.
When the dust cleared and the results tallied 2014-15 FJ Championship Leaders were:
Big Blue (Kevin Stockbridge)/ BRM (Bill Burnett) 14.67 $1100
Terry Medley/Shady (Brady Jordan) 14.10 $600
Mr. Goodtime(Mike Robinson)/Rees Guide (John Beshears)
12.71 $400
BIG FISH
Mr. Goodtime(Mike Robinson)/Rees Guide (John Beshears)
2.72 $300
Already looking forward to next season, see yall soon!!!!
