doesn't do any good this time of year trying to fish timber at Sardis. Nothing to block the wind and waves. i don't think there's much of anything left in shallow water. done looked several days w/o a bite.

I understand sardis is no fun being pounded by the waves trying to catch fish. Just ain't worth it for me. If its 10 mph and up and the fish are deep I won't go. Save it for another day.

At Sardis it depends on the wind direction and where they read the wind speed. If it's out of the west they measure the speed at the dam. Holiday lodge will seem like 2-3 times that. If the wind is out of the east they measure the speed at Wyatts, and at the dam it will seem like 2-3 times that. Need a better weather report before I go fishin.

Usually for me, a 10-15 or higher from ANY direction is a no go day. It is not worth the aggravation of fighting the wind...........really takes the fun out of our sport.

    Yep.

We're just going to start fishing in the evening. Seems like the wind lies down pretty good.
