Default Rez spawn.... started, full swing, or done?

Went yesterday and today... Caught a few male in grass but no females there. Seems the females are scattered in 6 to 10 Ft. Water. All the females I caught (wasn't many) still carrying eggs but dark, not bright yellow.... Others I talked to at the ramp seem to think the spawn has passed..... The males I caught weren't really slamming the bait.... Just light bites.....

Had the same experience yesterday. Males in the grass were super dark but no females there. The males I caught hit pretty hard. Caught one nice female on structure in 6' of water and she was about empty. Missed her 3 times.

I've fished the grass every time for 2 weeks straight and haven't caught a female in grass yet. They've all been deeper or in the pads.

If you see me say hello. I fished mostly in the evenings (work) and I usually have one of my kids with me. We'll be single poling as well.

Boat described above has a 25 yammie.

I wished I could add something to the conversation but I've been to the Rez 3 times this year and have caught 5 fish total. Took off work early yesterday and fished the grass and pads for 3 hours on the island by 43 and Gilligans and caught 1 fish. 15 boats around me and I only saw 2 other fish caught.

Its been a great spring on the Rez this year. I have been lucky and haven't had a bad trip yet! I have been single pole jig fishing ever since our tournament and have brought home fine catches every time and thrown lots of fish back. I'm sure I could break out the trolling gear and catch the big females but these big males have been a ball with my jig pole. Got good reports from the last two days both from trollers and jig fishermen. We should have another 2-3 weeks of great fishing before the big ones move back out to deeper water.
