    Default Black Crappie

April 15th tax day seemed like a good day to fish. Caught 22 at Pickwick/Bear Creek area. Most were 15-17 ft. Caught them on Gant hair jigs. This tax day was better than most....Name: Black Crappie 1r.jpg

Nice catch.....but those aren't black crappie. They are male white crappie, colored up from spawning.

Yep, you are correct. They are white males - putting on their black tux... They are dark...

I'm thinking....those must be some crappie on steroids....15-17 footers. Then I re-read it....you were fishing 15-17 feet DEEP. Jus funnin ya. Some nice fish. Good job.
