Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be today , caught 25 or so but only 4 made it to the cooler.

I am not sure these lakes will ever recover from their status right now which is on a 1 to 10 scale a 2 for numbers of fish as they have always produced. This may be the future now. 3 per day on any one of the lakes being a good day. Maybe it will become like Muskie fishing. One bite a day is a good day. Pound this post all you want, but these lakes are ruined for the present for numbers of fish.

Just burry your head in the sand and say everything is fine

I am seriously hoping the MDWFP will wake up and do some re-stocking of all 4 lakes. look at the revenue it is bringing to our state whether we want it or not

Tell you like I tolt some others, Go jump off the dam!! You wanna start somewhere you look at your locals coming in and out wadeing and casting jigs from the banks drinkin buurs,fillin coolers where the buur was and returning 2 or 3 times a day. You don't call out none of your brethren there buddy,,,,it's all my fault no matter what huh.

I agree with you Trophy King, but as I understand from a meeting I attended last month presented by the Core of Engineers they tell me that the “State Biologists” say the core lakes are self-sustaining as far as the crappie population goes. They say that an adult female crappie will lay 300,000 eggs a year and therefore there is no need to re-stock these lakes. I have tried to get additional information on this subject such as what percentage of the 300,000 hatch and grow into a spawning size fish. I would appreciate any additional comments or corrections.
