Use Offshore Angler from Bass Pro in Hi Vis Yellow on long lining and slo trolling poles, for the money its the best I have found in mono. Picked up 2 spools yesterday, 6 bucks a spool and it was 1500 yards on the 10 pound and 2000 on 6 pounds. Braid for a dipping rod and looks like plenty of water to dip in this spring, Nader is at 204, 3 more feet and we will be putting in at the house!!!!!!!!

The fact of the matter is ALL of these variations will work. You've just got to play with it a bit and see what's best for you.

I tried braid once and it's just not for me. I like being able to break off and change rigs quick. I like being able to break off without pulling the whole brush pile up to the boat. Lol. That stuff is tuff!

20# high vis braid (spider wire) with a snap swivel on the end. Tie crappie Riggs with 10# floro. If I do manage to break this setup it will be the rigg. Just snap a new one on and I'm ready to go again. Also since braid is solid, not translucent I find it very easy to see in all conditions. And it lasts forever... When I write that all out I feel like I've spent too much time thinking about fishing...
