I was looking at the motorguide w55L (built in transducer). Thanks for the feedback. I have seen some negative reviews relating to the remote pedal communicating and turn motor noisiness. Come to find out, I would have a bigger challenge because I can't run my elite-7HDI without trying to get around the skeg. Also, tearing up the wire from the transducer while trolling through brush etc. Will I run into this issue with other trolling motors that have built in transducers. Thanks again.

Also, I'm still looking for a trolling motor (fairly new) in good condition around $300. 55lb and up. Looking for one soon as I need to get boat rigged and ready. If you have something please pm me your number so I can talk to you about what you have and can get pictures.

You will not be able to use the built in transducer on MK or MG for DI. They are 2d only. Go to the electronics section on main board. Look at the stickies at the top. One there about installing transducers.

Thanks. I will probably return my down imaging depth finder (elite 7 HDI) bc I like the newer trolling motors more than I like this depth finder. And it looks like whether it has a built in transducer or not, the transducer cable would get in the way when you go to dock the trolling motor. I don't want to limit my trolling motor options because of Down Imaging.
