What part of the water way are you fishing?
How deep are you pulling? May need to add some weight to go deeper.

The only consistent deep water on the Aberdeen lake is in the channel and in front of the dam. Pulled those areas down to 8 -15 ft range.

From what I understand, cranks are a waste of your time on that part of the waterway.

How deep were the fish? I watch my screen and see what depth the fish are at and set my crankbaits a foot or two above them......they will go up a little to hit a bait but they will not go down.

That matches the success that I have had there, I have wondered if it is because the water turns over constantly with the barge traffic. It is unlike the corp lakes or river oxbows that setup a thermocline in the summer.
