I was debating on coming down for the first time... wifes sister lives in southern miss. and she was wanting to go visit from Saturday to Saturday starting this week. Would it be worth coming down for? I wanna get on some 16 inch fish or bigger, was also looking into getting a guide..... thanks

Take a look at the top of the MS forum page....look at the stickies...one of them is Mississippi Crappie Guides. They are probably all booked up though this close to the spawn
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

As you may well know you have now fallen victim to a disease known as crappieitist and there is no know cure. However you can treat it by regular trips to the lake and when the weather will not allow this go to your favorite tackle supplier and pick up two lures/jigs. Should anyone say something about the lures being in the buggy simply reply that as you were walking down the isle the said items decided to commit sucide and jumped into the buggy.
