They both have good fish, the river stages has a lot do with which one to fish. They not as big as Grenada or Washington but you can come home home with a 1 1/2 lb average

you can keep 50 at Chotard. You can catch Specks and white crappie at Chotard, just depends on where you fish. Out in the middle, you'll catch the big old slab white crappie. Eagle is more of single poling for specks at a couple of the piers. Those specks at Eagle will average bout a pound n a half with some over 2 pounds. Chotard has some monster White crappie about that same size with some around 2 1/2-2 3/4 pounds

We caught a bunch of gar in chotard yesterday in 28' water! the pole would go down and you pick it up and half the minnow would be gone. this coming weekend has not 1 but 2 bass tourneys on Eagle lake on the same day. We got hung up twice coming out of Albermarle yesterday.
