Default Would anyone be interested in one BIG MONEY TOURNAMENT?

I would like to see how many folks would be interested and maybe work with a few of yal to host a Big Money tournament in October to end the year. Maybe October 20th? We could poll to see what lake everyone wants to fish, Between Arkabutla, Sardis and Enid. 2 man team only! $250 entry fee and I think you will have a Big payout. What do yal guys think about that? You can troll, hand pole, pull cranks whatever as long as fish is caught in mouth with a pole. Anyone up for this? Maybe Early entries $200 before October 1st? Just a idea.

No i haven,t but we could allways do the 13th. if need be. And could add Tunica to the lakes to vote from. I just wanted to see if we had any seriuos fishermen or women that would like to fish for a big payout. Maybe hold 1 or 2 a year?

I think yoiu could get the interest for sure, specially if yoiu could get some sponsorship.

Not being a smarty pants or nothing but why do you need a sponsorship? Pay out one place for every 5 boats. Don,t see the need for a sponsor the moneys allreddy there with the entries. Take $25 from each entry for big fish pot too. I tried holding tournaments for low entries and folks i guess didn,t like it so we just want to see who,s interested in this? 20 boats is $5000 in the pot or $4000 if everyone enters early. Seems like a pretty good payday to me???

Not taking it as being a smarty pants at all. I will give ya my take. The FJs and MCC both try to have a meet and greet the night before somewhere, FJs mostly we just get together, someone may host or we may go somewhere. From what I understand MCC has a pretty good gathering and its a little more to it. The folks here love to fesh but I think alot of em love the fellowship more, I do. Sponsorship wouldnt be a must but it would help, it was just a thought.
If your goal is 20 boats I think youi can get that, would be interesting for sure.

I think the reason a lot of the big tourneys are sponsored is to get money to pay for liability insurance and also tournament permits etc. And also tournament grade scales are not cheap.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

And if you are gonna fish a BIG PAYOUT type tourney you would most likely exspect to be weighing on good scales, I for one would. Big payout, whether crappie or bass, dont just happen thats the reason I mentioned sponsorship in the beginning. If you think we had some drama after the Butla tourney have a first prize of 2000 bucks and a tie with scales that wont measure into the hundredeths, gonna get deep. The bigger you play the bigger the price.
