If you are going to do 1 or 2 a year thats the way to go. Donnie, I am with you, that would be pretty cool.

Like i said you can fish anyway you want to as long as its hooked in the mouth with a pole. Don,t matter how you fish you can only weigh in 10 fish and everyone has the opption to troll so its even playing feild, No since in saying its unfair cause you can troll too.

Think you took that wrong, Donnie likes single-poling as I do but he was just saying he would love to see one that way.

Why does everyone want to start a tournament? Their are already enough going on as it is. If you want to fish for big money join Crappie Masters or Crappie USA, heck MCC has pretty darn good payouts also. I'm just saying that i hate to see the sport of crappie fishing ruined by having multiple tourneys all over the state every weekend, like our bass fishing brethren. You ever get a day off at the last minute and call to get a cabin @ your favorite lake and they are all booked because of some tournament, well it kinda sucks. i have fished tourneys before so i know how attractive they can be, i just honestly believe that we already have enough of them going on already. This is just my opinion so remember you asked what we as members here thought. thanks for reading, feesh.

i agree with you feesh 100% but i would still like to see atleast one good single pole tourney a year for the folks who just love to feel the thump not taking anything away from the trollers i enjoy doing that as well

Feesh, I dont blame that on the fisherman so much as the towns of the lakes being fished. Most of the time the chamber in that town has some input as to tourney dates and events held on the lakes around them. From a business stand point you really cant blame em, their chamber members that own resturants, hotels, bait shop would much rather know a tourney is coming to town and their business will be up than hoping you and I are gonna have the day off to fesh. Tourneys bring in alot of business for communities and with out them there would be alot less bait shops being able to make it, most struggle as it is. There is room for both, I just change lakes myself if there is a big tourney on Grenada but I am fortunate enuff to live within 45 minutes of 3 of the Big Four.
