Flower Lake

I've been fishin' flower lake the past couple of days since the rivers on a fast rise. I"ve been catchin' fish in the blue holes, second mainly, at between 8 and 13 feet. Ifn' you go find the depth and find the bottom, i've been puttin the jig on the bottom and bringing it slowwwwwly up to 2 to 3 feet of the bottom and bump, bump you'll snag and average flower crappie. The Cutoff for people int the know "missippi folk" is suppose to crest at somewhere around 23 feet, depending on this rain and then start to fall, then it's game on, Sardis can keep their 10 inch fish, not right yet but I can smell the fish a commin.

What do you consider the 2nd blue hole? Say if you put in at the ramp and go through the gap in the trees onto the main lake, then what? - I have never been able to figure that out. Guess I have been talkin to the wrong folks.

when do u think would be the best time to fish flower? what would i need to bring? are there any bait shops around the lake?

I consider the hole where you launch the first blue hole, heading south the next one you come to would be the second. as far as when to fish flower i'd guess early to mid april and no there are no bait shops on the lake, closest would be at the Cutoff, as far as what to bring it's a jig/minnow lake no trolling it's just too shallow.
