    Default Okatibbee 8-20

Well we went after them again this morning. They were biting pretty good today. Wayne started off good, but then he buried a trebble hook in the palm of his hand, and then he lost the crankbait after we did surgery. We kept 32 crappie and 1 bass.

Here's me and Steve in front of the slab yankin' machine.

Yep it was a pretty good few hours until the sun got up fairly high and the wind quit blowing but we still had our best morning since we started pulling cranks. No hot color I don't think but I caught quite a few on WM pink. I keep my mouth shut this time and did real good, think Scott was the short man today. Doesn't look it but we had some real good fish today, don't know why Scott put the big ones in the bottom. Reason they are not on the ironing board is that Wayne keep them for his pain and suffering, lose of blood and his last best crank, has bought all that were in Meridian so has no more. Meet a couple of guys from the internet on the water, extremewade (Mike Wade) and another who doesn't post on here, maybe Scott remembers his name, I'm a little hard of hearing so I didn't catch it. Got really hot after the clouds burned off and the wind quit. This time we ran out of Scott and Steve before the new batteries, did I mention it got HOT.
PS Got my new combo unit yesterday and Scott loaded all my Garmin handheld wpts into his 520C (we were in his boat, I like in his boat, I'm lazy) and my Elite 5 so we were able to troll from wpt to wpt, think it helped some.

I think they are when you think of the big 4 up north and the Rez. Can't remember catching a 2 lber. in a good long time. They can have the length but not the girth, just pretty thin. But they sure eat good.
