Catching "fish" on Grenada isnt a problem right now. Slow trolling 12' flats will produce all the bites you can stand. Just gotta weed out a hunnert little ones to get a few keepers.
I'm planning to head down from AR this weekend to take my father and son fishing. I only fish with him a few times a year and was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction to get on some action. He lives about midway between Grenada and Greenwood. I'll be bringing a boat with me so we are open to going about anywhere within a reasonable drive of their house. Not looking for anybody's honey hole, just hoping to at least get on some fish.
BTW - this is my first post but this looks like a great board.

Stick yo jig in there!
Wow that was fast! Thanks for the info biggerjigger! With a 10 y/o in the boat I'd rather keep him busy with the little ones between the keepers. He still likes "catching" a lot more than "fishing" LOL..
Most threads starting ..." I wanna take my kid fishing"...... get pretty timely responces on this board.

Your a good feller Bigger.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I have been looking around the board today and can tell there is a good group on here. I may as well fess up, I raise squirrel dogs and they take up most of my time, but I'm trying to get back to fishing, especialy since my son prefers it to hunting. I haven't fished much in several years, but have found some good info on here already. My guess is we will head out with some minnows and crickets to keep it simple and try to get something going. I've never trolled for crappie before, vertical around structure is my only experience so far, but I am willing to give it a shot. I don't have a depth finder though so I'm thinking it could get a little complicated for me LOL..
Eddie, if you're coming to Grenada with crickets after bluegill, you're wasting your time. There basically are no blue gill in Grenada anymore. Other'n that, listen to Bigger and have a big time, then post pics to prove it happened.
Wannabe...
Wannabe...v2.0
A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
If verticle is your thing, Hit any live Cypruss trees in 2 to 5 feet of water, you will get some males still hanging out round them guarding the fry. also hit the coffee weed in the shallows for the males .
I need a good line on a squirrel dog by the way!!!
Stick yo jig in there!
