For my money, I'd follow Mr. Jim. Or, just drive up to his place with a good bottle of whiskey, and invite him to go feshing. :D

I've caught dozens of 3lb + fish, four so far this year. I have never caught a 3lb fish at sardis, and I fish there often. Arkabutla and Grenada are the best chance for a big fish.

They are in there. I caught a three # crappie out of the lower lake a couple of years ago. However, your chances are greater if you fish the lakes Feelay mentioned. Talked to a couple of guys yesterday that pulled 2 of them out of butla yesterday.
