thanks guys. i bought a bunch of bandits on clearance the other day from academy for $1.88 each. i guess at that price i could change both sets of hooks and still come out ahead on the regular price with the red hooks.

Don't worry about the cost.....the fun of pulling crankbaits is worth it. :D

Anybody else have a couple of 8 foot Pro Trollers by BnM? The two eight footers I got are real limber. They don't seem to have the same action as the 12 footers. The 8 footers bend way over when pulling cranks. I am afraid I am going to break one if I hang a striper or big catfish while pulling for crappie. I would have thought they would have more back bone to them...

Zack, I have two of the 8' PST's & can't believe how stout they are. I have gotten hung up & not noticed until they were bent more than double. I'm very impressed with them.

Maj - My eight footers look like they are bent half way by just pulling the crankbait. I wonder if I have a newer model or something. The 12 footer is great! I love those rods... Just seems the 8 footers I got bend way to far over while pulling cranks.

The 8 footers I got are a dark blue color with some type of new line guides. The line guides appear to be more suits to a spinning reel also. Is that what yours look like? I am sure these will work fine but just use to a stiffer rod.

I have two 8 ft. Pro Trollers and they work good for me. I did hear that they changed up the guides on the new ones though.
