You're very welcome Cevans, yep that 30lb Power Pro is good stuff, just be sure that if you use snap swivels they are bug enough. You don't want the snap swivel to pull open before the hook straightens out.

How much do you think color matters on crankbaits and what is your favorite color?

How much do you think the right speed matters, and what is it for you?

And what about the amount of line out, what distance works best for you?
    It's CRAPPIE season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Changes day to day.

Favorite color, personally pink or black.
    Speed 1.8
    Amt. Line 90

And it works some days and others won't catch a fish. All depends on lake, temp, water depth, water clarity and what the fish want.

Wow what a read, lots of good information. My crappie season use to end in late May. Looking forward to extending my season into the summer by trolling with a few crankbaits. Went out and bought a bunch of bandits 200 and 300's. Now just got to find the fish. Thanks for all the great info.

Welcome to the board BB82, glad you found it helpful. Pull along the ledges of creek/river channels. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Alright you guys, you have officially created and addiction! I went out yesterday with two of my PST rods I use for spider rigging and decided to pull 2 of the the 3 Bandits I had in my tackle box. Lets just say that I just ordered 4 Okuma Magda 15's, 2 8' PST rods, a 1/2lb spool of Ande envy green #10 mono and 10 more Bandit 300's. Now I am deciding on whether to place my holders behind or in front of my console on my bass-style boat since I will be pulling solo 90% of the time.

D552, I'd say that all depended on some other options, such as, are you goning to pull with your TM, big motor, or a kicker motor.. If it's TM, and you have a foot control, it's from the front, if you have IPilot, then wherever is most comfortable, I prefer the back where I can sit in the back seat and have a good place to put the umb.. It's much easier to land a slab from the back, I have missed some goonuns in the past pulling from the front. Now I have IPilot. If you use the big motor or a kicker, then close to your driver seat and easy to get to. Just my novice opinion...

I will be using a foot control TM for now until I see the IPilots go on sale at BPS again. I have always trolled with my outboard but am hesitant to do so with the 115 2-stroke Johnson that I currently have and see that most are running 4 strokes or smaller outboards with trolling plates.
