It’s funny to me how no matter what there is always going to be the us against them mentality.
I don't feel it's an us Vs them thing for the overwhelming majority of members, as lots of FJ teams fish both circuits, but there is always the mention of "we're Not MCC" from some, for whatever reason. I think this past weekend proved that its better for both clubs if we work together for the betterment of Crappie Fishing!!!!! That's what I feel it's all about anyway!!! Unite and Conquer, or Divide and Fall. A No Brainer.

Mississippi Slab there is no we verses them mentality it’s just that we are set up differently. One is NOT better than the other, it's just different...that's all. The new board at MCC has been great to work with this year. Ken Middleton, and several others have shown their support in the FJ's this entire season and I look forward to seeing them at Butla and the Championship. They are bringing new ideas and a approach to MCC that will be exciting to see.

I dont have a dog in this race but I just read the rules and the rules state that registration must be made at the ramp......there is absolutely no mention anywhere about a pre registration.

This is going nowhere fast! This is my first yr as a tourney director, and I agree that there are several rules that need to be looked at and revised, but hashing it out on the forum is not the answer. I fish with both MCC and C.C and have enjoyed both. This is NOT an "US" vs. "THEM" scenario. We are 2 separate groups, with 2 separate set of rules. Are our rules perfect........no. We are all human and we as a committee are learning from past mistakes and plan to revisit the rules at the end of the season. With that being said.....the rules for this year are in place, and have been for some time, and will remain in place throughout the rest of the season.

Like G said I do not have a dog in the hunt either. But, why is the board not a place to hash some rule changes out for next year? If you can discuss proposed changes for a week or so on here instead of trying to do it after a tournament when the time is limited. That's part of what happened last year. If grown adults can't discuss different ideas without being accused of having attitudes or being a trouble maker there is a problem. Letting EVERYONE who does still fish the FJ's have a voice. If a few put themselves on a pedestal over the organization the organization will eventually become stagnant or even fail. You guys know who the frequent competitors are (i.e. they have qualified for the championship) I think more value needs to be put in to their opinions also. Sure hope ya'll can figure something out.

My opinion for what it's worth. This is not what a fj is,this is a real tournament trail.I think there should be a real fj,put your money in a jar and go fish.Too many rules takes the fun out of it.

I dont see the difference, the "FJ" part is where it started and has grown from. Hopefully it will continue to grow as time goes on.

Crappie.com has nothing to do with it......... It is some of the MS. C.C folks that have organized this. It started out as a simple FJ....Some want it to stay that way and others want it to grow. Its something that you folks that fish it need to work out.
