I was just picking on Major by volunteering him. But he would make a good spokesman.
Asking for a rule change right before our COE tournaments is probably not the best move. I would suggest we thoroughly understand the rules and be in strict compliance through our COE tournaments; then start a discussion with them about changing the rules.
Guys,ATM is on the right track. Once you make it about money, the game changes completely.I would guess that more rules are coming, not less...especially on the COE lakes.I have never fished a crappie tournament but I do fish big bass tournaments in Texas. It surprised me to see the difference in the rules or lack of rules in MCC tournaments. I know the money between bass and crappie tournaments is worlds apart but as crappie tournaments grow in popularity so will the rules.RTJ

As an organized group of fishermen, we are obliged to know and follow the States and Corps rules no matter weather we agree with them or not. I eat my fish is no excuse as we all fish a good bit and probably are not hurting for food. I think everyone on here talking about how they are going to keep their fish on ice or hide them ought to do just that. Then we can find out how many Game Wardens or Corps officers are on this forum or check it out from time to time. It is sinceless to not obey the rules set forth by these people because one can always fish on other days when there is nbo tournament going on. One bad apple can ruin everything for the rest of us. After all, we are not the ones who put these fine lakes here that we all now enjoy. Do what you want, as for me I will follow all rules and thank the people who maintain these bodies of water and try to ensure that they will always be here for us to enjoy. In closing I would like to say, IF YOU DONT LIKE THE RULES, DONT FISH THE TOURNAMENT
SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, AND STAY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE BOAT.
How is icing my fish not following the rules????
I welcome the Game Wardens and the Park Rangeres everytime I am on the lake as I feel each here does.

Were you talking about icing only the 7 allowed fish? I'm pretty sure some of the others were not.
In addition to what MinnerTroller wrote I would add, if you don't agree with the rules, it's ok to attempt to change them. But once it's settled we should all follow the rules.
I think fishing these lakes is a right, but holding tournaments on them is a privilege. I would hate to lose the privilege because a few didn't follow the rules.
Rules say you are only allowed to have seven fish in your possossion.

I was not and wont lie about it, if this will DQ me from the tourney then have at it. I will be fishing for a limit of fesh and will weigh-in my best 7.
