I think the way the Corp sees it is the fish don't belong to just me. They belong to every citizen of the State of MS. When I catch a limit sport fishing for my consumption that's fair. But the rest of the citizens may view it as greedy to pull fish out of a fishery in a competition for money. So I think it's a fair compromise to let us have our tournament, on a fishery that belongs to everyone, as long as we put the fish back.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Those ice chests are where my xtra fishes are gonna wind up. Got two live wells on the boat aint but one gonna have fish for the weighin. Aint sayin what the other is gonna have!

The problem I see with your plan is you intend to have more than the allowed seven fish in your boat. I think we should do our research, understand the rules, then abide by them.
On the other hand, I see nothing wrong with disagreeing with the rules, and working with the Corps to change them. I just don't agree having this disagreement at the tournament is the proper time or place.
I don't agree with the rules. But I will abide by them. If enough of us disagree with the rules we should have Major work with the Corps to have them changed. But this conversation shouldn't be with the ranger at the weigh in, when some our participants are not in compliance.
I agree that if there is a ranger at the weigh-in he will just be doing his job and doesnt need no attitude like the one last year got, we dont need that. My fish will be on ice.
Dont think there is anything in the rules say we have to release fish as we cull, only the fish being weighed-in last year were questioned.

Just my thoughts. Since these rules affect all tournament fishermen/women, wouldn't be logical that all should make your concerns known to the COE, and not just Major. Many voices are much easier to hear than one. E-mail the COE and let them know your concerns. NICELY, of course.
