There are alot of crappies in that area. When are you going there? My favorite time is after ice out and before the spawn. When you find them, you find alot of them.
In June we have 4 of us going up from MO for a week of fishing. We are staying on South Turtle Lake and fishing some of the many lakes of Otter Tail county.
Large mouth, small mouth, walleye will be our main target, but my brother and I are crappie guys. We would like to try and target crappie for a day or two. Any lakes that we should focus on in that area?
Thanks,

Spawn will be over. They will probably be in the cabbage weeds in 6-15 feet of water. I'm usually in Canada about that time and don't fish crappies much after the spawn. Everything should be biting in that time frame when you find them. Bass and northerns should be everywhere. Looks like we might have a late ice out this year and sunfish may be spawning in that time frame.
Looks like the water temps up there may still be in the low 60's. I may catch some spawning action after all. Will be there this weekend.
might be a rock bass trip , but to be sure they are quite tasty too ....just saying
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
Hopefully the weather cooperates and the temps are cooler. GL!
