Thanks for sharing. It is late even for way up there. I heard the same thing about Northern Wisconsin from member Tomtom.
Here in the Metro the males are bringing their fry out from the nests. (and both the bluegills and the rest of the crappie population are feasting) Massive insect hatches now, too. I don't fish the beds, but the females are available and hungry. They are definitely late this year, too.
Yep,I was out for awhile last Friday and the hand full I caught really had there tails tore up.
