Hello From Mo Board!

Hey guys,

Me and some guys from my church are going to be camping at Bearhead Lake in the middle of June. I understand there are several lakes close by. I was hoping to do some crappie fishing and I would love to catch a few walleye as they are hard to come by here in Mo. Anyway, should I hire a guide to catch some walleye or could some of you fellers give me some tips that could help me out? I have never been to MN so Im kinda going into it blind. Any help would be awesome!!

Other than that....anywhere around the Ely area boasts awesome lakes...just pick one and fish it.Most of the lakes in that area have the slabs as well as walleyes.Good luck.

In june Im usually jigging walleye or pulling crawler harnesses. Im sure any of the local bait shops can clue you in on the bite. Slabs should be hanging out on the drop off or sumerged vegitation. Once you have been up here you will want to come back. Have a great trip

i live in mn but have never been to bearhead myself. try posting your question up on hotspotoutdoors.com i always see people posting about that park on that site. i'm sure the guys on there will be happy to help you out.
