The past 3 trips that my brother-in-law, Leon came down to fish with me the weather and conditions were not ideal. They still weren’t ideal today with, NNE wind blowing pretty good and 37ooo cfs flow rate to contend with, but we managed to get him some nice crappie and a couple of spotted bass.

we landed 10 keepers topped by a 13.75” slab and had 3 more keepers jump off as we were landing them. Many shorts caught as well.
I only took one pic today. The offshore spot that we were fishing looked like Grand Central Station and as many as 5 boats were in the area and two of those really wanted our spot. I could tell by the way they were looking and acting.

But we stayed put until finally every boat cranked up and left. We did too after everyone had left because the bite just quit happening. We picked up two more keepers in different spots before calling it a morning. We sat on that spot for nearly 3 hours. Counting short crappie and the 2 bass, we must have caught 40 fish. Baby Shad BG in Monkey Milk, Pearl, White/chartreuse and Junebug slider.
