Default MTCC Results April 20th 2013

MTCC fished Woods Reservoir in March and again yesterday in April because we drew for lakes some and have a few prescheduled. Just happened to end up back to back on the same lake. Last month in March, we were in prespawn conditions with really cold water still and there were relatively few boats catching limits of keeper fish. April brought on some changes with warmer waters and the difference showed in the total amount of fish caught as there were many talking about catching lots of fish in the 8 and 9 to 9.5 inch range.
The morning started off pretty chilly at 34 degrees but warmed up quite nicely with a bright sun and clear sky. We were forecasted to be at about 65 degrees for a high temp.
We had a record tying number of boats in this one as well at 12 boats, and 11 of those brought fish to the weigh-in. Congrats to Steve aka (Fishawk) and Terri for winning the tourney with a 7 fish limit weighing in at 6.05. Second place went to Goody Hill and Kenneth Locke and third place was taken by J.W. and Kane Jackson. Also, big fish was taken by the team of Michael Battle and Tom Rein at 1.36 pounds. I did not have time to take photos yesterday being weigh master, so i didnt take any photos.
We will be fishing in 3 weeks back on, you guessed it, Woods Reservoir, but this time Woods is definately the best place for kids to catch fish and won't be too bad either for the co-ed teams to have some friendly competition there as well. Boats fishing in the kids division will not have an entry fee but the co-ed division will probably put together a pot for the fun of it. We will decide soon just exactly what that entry fee will be. This tourney is about fun with the family and it's not really considered a tourney for any record keeping. Just come out and fish, and spend time with your loved ones. This day is about fun for the family. Middle Tennessee Crappie Club

Just a few photos of the pretournament. I just wanted to say that it took us 15 minutes to launch 12 boats. We need to speed that process up some....
