you can't have too many friends, all these guys are great.
Saturday morning on my way to the tourney, my truck alternator went out. I wasn't close to the lake yet and it was dark so I had to use lights. I told Tracy, we won't make it to the lake, and sure enough, about 5 miles outside of Winchester lights and truck started shutting down. Well, batteries in boat are way too big to fit in my truck, but luckily Kenneth and Goody stopped to assist. Kenneth took a battery from his pickup that carries 2 in it, and we traded batteries for the ride to the lake. They ran behind me with flashers to Winchester and John and Randall took over and helped following me with their flashers on to the lake from about Hardees on. I want to thank them all for getting me to the tournament. Without the help, I wouldnt have been able to make it.
While on my way back home, we had to swap back the batteries as I started having trouble again. After that swap though, I didn't need to run any lights, electric fans, radio, etc, and was able to make it all the way home on the one change.
I picked up replacement alternator today and installed this evening in about 30 minutes. Seems to be fine now. Just wanted to thank these guys for helping, whom I didn't even know prior to joining this club. I really appreciated what they did for me, especially Kenneth who followed me back home again as I had to have the one last battery swap to make it home.Thumbs Up

It goes around, and it comes around. When you help folks in their time of need, you will receive help when you need it. We have a good group of folks and I'm not surprised at the outcome. We have all been in your shoes before, glad it turned out for the good.

Yall are right. You never know when something will happen and you will need a hand. Most fisherman seem to be good people; crappie fisherman anyway.

Might be a alternater epidemic in the works. Mine went out yesterday afternoon. Light came on the dash showing a battery. Went and had it checked this morning and it was the alternater. OUCH!
