    Default trolling Normandy

I was off work today so invited a young engineer that i work with for a trip to Normandy. We got on the water at about 730 and started pulling bandits.Had out 7 poles with bandits and i pole with #7 shadrap....First 2 fish were on the shadrap then two more on bandits...We left about 10 with all the fish swimming free again....We trolled the airlines from the bridge to the dam.Im still trying to figure out the speeds and depths of these bandits. There is a good speed/depth chart on the Mississippi board if anyone is interested.

i spent over $50.00 a few weeks back,on bandit lures to pull at woods.i used the 200 and 300 series, seven poles, seven different colors.i trolled all along the river channel next to the islands, and down towards the dam.i had no luck at all,i was pulling between .5 & .9 mph, fishing the depth of 4ft to 8ft and 8ft to 12ft.it was my 1st time to try this method and now that i have aleast 50 bucks invested i'm gonna have to try it again.

Common speeds I see folks talk of are 1.2 to 1.8 . East Tenn folks use cordell spots also with good results. Have to ask them for more detail.

Pyro and I trolled at Normandy last night before dark. Only one small blacknose took the bait. We were at 1.6 on the speed dial. We did however catch several fish after dark under the lights on minnow and jigs. We were home by 1130pm to get some rest.

I spent 3 quick hours up Normandy last night but just didn't ever get on em. Caught 6 crappie and enjoyed the time out but I think I stayed in too shallow of water.gonna try again soon.

i pull bandits at 1.5-2.0mph and like to stay around 1.9 if possible.u can tell what the fish want if u start catching fish if ur making a turn and they bite ur inside poles u might want to slow down some, and if they bite ur outside poles during a turn faster might be better
