Hey Todd. I seen those statistics myself and thought, hey wats up with that? I dont have a clue as an answer and look forward to finding out if someone out there does and will reply here.
I was looking over the TVA website today and found some alarming numbers and would like to get your opinion on why. First off, the TWRA electrofished Tims; in 2007 they had a rate of 5.60% of diseased/parasite fish. In 2008, they rate had jumped to 20.40%. Secondly, Normandy had a 6.3% in 2006 and an alarming rate of 29.40% in 2008. Normandy had the biggest jump of all the lakes according to TVA. Does anyone have any idea why the rate jumped so high? I have fished Normandy a good bit but have never "seen" a so-called bad fish. I know lots of it came be hidden but I was just interested in seeing what you guys have to say about this and what the cause may be.

I wonder if it was the lack of fresh water flowing due to the drought?Or could it be more in depth testing being conducted?Or could it be that TVA is trying to get more money for research for clean water projects?( I know conspiracy theory)
