and the report is not good. Wind kept us off the deeper part of the lake for most of three days, so we had to fish the cypress trees where it was sheltered. They had a cold front come thru, and the water temps. ranged from the mid 40's up to the low 50's depending on how deep the water was. I only caught one stinking crappie!!!!

It is a really neat lake with lots of different structure and I would love to go back again, but might need to be a few weeks later next time.

Did manage to meet a couple of good ole boys from the Tenn. C.com board. They really tried to put us on the fish, but the wind was a real factor. Almost sunk my boat on day trying to get across the lake.

So Mike...let's decide where and when this fishing trip/thing is going to happen. You can ask for peoples timetables, but I think you will become frustrated with trying to meet everyones schedules. You should just set a date out far enough so that the people who really want to make it happen have time to line things up. Pick a lake...if Hudson is the place then that's the place. Sounds like Fowl is the only one that knows the lake very well, so I'm always up for checking out a new fishin' hole.

    Default Hudson Lake Gathering

    Greetings all,
I should have posted my other message here. I'm thinking about three dates May 16th, May 30th, or June 27th.

Personally I think that 7 A.M. Saturday, May 30th sounds the best.

This is not a busy weekend as far as the DNR and park schedule and the weather should be warmer by then.
My next question is about the weather. If the weather is bad the next chance would June 27th.
May 23-25 is Memorial day weekend too busy. MIS Speedway race is June 12-14th (BUSY!)
Hudson is about 60 miles west of Monroe off U.S.12. If everybody agrees on May 30th I'll call the DNR and set it up.

So give me some feedback. Saturday May 30th 7 A.M. Hudson Lake.

For me it will be 2-1/2 hour drive (147miles) one way so as of now ill probably have to pass on this trip. The lake is a good size lake and looks like it would have lots of good fishing. I Know in order to find a lake that everyone wouldn't have to travel far Will be hard to do so i hope this works out for ya

That date works for me at this time. I will probably take the rig over and camp for the weekend instead of making it a day trip.
