    How long before we see some hard water fish pics. Also, y'all post them big dead deer on the hunting forum. We cajuns have dem inquiring minds you know.

    Gotta get a lot colder in these parts for an extended time. Hoping chaunc snipes some this year.

    Not close to having ice yet.. Saw some ponds skimmed over a few times last week.. That big lake to our west isn't cold enough yet and that controles a lot. We have had a lot of fronts, wind and precip lately keeping me at home... I don't deer hunt, But my SIL does and was able to take one with a bow and one with a gun.

    Our area has been hit or miss the last two years but if we drive an hour north there is usually decent ice. Typically after the first of the year.

    I saw pictures of an Darkhouse angler on ice in the UP yesterday un Iron County attempting to spear pike on the opening day. It wasn't quite 4".

    Keep an eye on the ice birdbander. I'm chomping at the bit to get up your way and fish with you. Not getting any gear ready yet, I don't want to jinx us.

    At least 6"! If you want to come fish with us I have a blue ice fishing jacket you can wear.
